Grand Rapids, MI—GRCC’s Men’s Tennis squad is prepped for the 2012-2013 season as they’ve added some serious local talent to showcase this season.
The leading man for this year’s recruiting class is Brett Michaud of Forest Hills Northern. While competing at Forest Hills Northern Michaud made it to the #1 doubles state finals in Division 3 two years in a row and earned All-State honors both years.
Joining Michaud are all-conference players Trenton Clark and David Strain from West Catholic, Trevor Balfour, All-Conference at Jension, Julian Dianpour, quarter finalist at the state tournament in Division 3 at 2
nd doubles from East Grand Rapids, Connor Carbonaro, also a state quarter finalist in Division 3 at 3
rd doubles from Holland Christian, Frankie Tejeda from Rockford and Ben Golder from Forest Hills Eastern.
They will join returning players
Casey Feenstra from Forest Hills Northern,
Keith Lannon from Rockford and
Matt Mueller from Hastings.
Practices begin Monday, September 10
th from 1:30-3pm and will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays running through October. Any full time GRCC student interested in joining the team should contact Coach Bill Goodspeed at

Players interested in competing at GRCC should have a strong high school tennis background or equivalent tennis experience.
